Aoraki Mount Cook is our highest mountain and sits majestically in the middle of the Southern Alps.  On the drive to this region, you will be enchanted by the unique aquamarine colour of Lake Pukaki with its glacial flour held in suspension.

Aoraki Mount Cook dominates everything. It can go from being serene to angry in minutes. Take a walk up to the terminal lake of the Hooker Glacier. Visit the stunning Department of Conservation visitor centre or immerse yourself in the Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre. If you want more adventure, take a ski plane or helicopter flight and land on a glacier.
